Hello Darling

Nature-inspired event stationery and paper goods for the wild at heart.

From dreamy, floral wedding invitations, to endearing hand-illustrated greeting cards, Midcoast Affair was built on creating stationery and paper goods intended to awe and touch the hearts of those receiving. Here, you'll find greeting cards, notepads, and gifty things in my online gift shop. I also offer a selection of event stationery, from bridal and baby shower invites, to save the dates, envelope liners, wax seals, and more! Everything is sketched or hand-drawn with colored pencil by yours truly.

Mother { Earth } Lover

I’m one heck of a mother [ earth ] lover, so I strive to leave as little of a mark on this planet as I possibly can by seeking out pretty paper and envelopes that use recycled material and post-consumer waste. The ultimate goal is to create stunning stationery while using up what we already have, without taking too much from our forests and fellow earth friends.

Claire Ouellette Lanni

Owner + Designer

Hi! I'm Claire. I believe in putting flowers in my iced coffee for no reason whatsoever except because I like it. I also love hot cocoa after a morning on the slopes, horseback riding, catching the sunset over Lake Michigan, crème brulée, running, Amazon Day, driving with the windows down every chance I get, cross-country roadtrips, and lounging with my dog. I’m an Ann Arbor, Michigan native living in Traverse City with my husband, Derek, and our fur babe, Roscoe. I found a way to fuse all things I love – wildflowers, drawing, and warming hearts – and founded Midcoast Affair to create exquisite, darling stationery for all you wild-hearted, pretty souls.

Barketing Manager

Friends call me Ross. When I'm not napping across all the pillows on our couch or chasing bunnies out of the yard, I make guest appearances in the studio to check on things - and also to boop my mom at the end of the day to remind her it's dinner time.
